Junior Bookkeeper


Our team of restaurant financial experts are looking for a Junior Bookkeeper to join the Toronto team. The Junior Bookkeeper will manage a small portfolio of clients after the probation period. Working in a team of 5-7 people, the Junior Bookkeeper will collaborate with their team to provide full cycle accounting for The Fifteen Group’s growing list of restaurant clients.


  • manage a portfolio of 2-4 clients after the probation period
  • organization and entry of daily sales reports, supplier invoices and sales receipts
  • completion of cheque runs as per client schedule
  • reconciliation of payment methods to invoices
  • primary contact for vendor enquiries
  • reconciliation of bank, credit cards and A/P vendor accounts
  • administration of payroll, including: processing payroll, issuing paycheques, calculating source deductions, vacation pay, issuing ROEs and T4s, investigating and resolving payroll issues
  • calculation and filing of government remittances such as HST, payroll reductions, EHT, and WSIB
  • communication with clients after the probation period under the supervision of a Senior Bookkeeper or Supervisor
  • production of period end financial statements
  • exposure to year-end working paper preparation
  • other general office duties, such as filing and coordinating couriers to and from clients
  • work toward Intermediate Bookkeeper duties. i.e. a larger or a more complex portfolio of clients, direct client communication, provide training to Junior Bookkeepers etc.
  • additional work hours may be required during peak business volume periods, such as period-end and year-end


  • postsecondary degree/diploma in accounting or related field considered an asset
  • enrolment in the CPA program considered an asset
  • up to two years of previous experience in a bookkeeping role
  • previous experience using QuickBooks
  • proficient in using Microsoft Excel
  • restaurant industry experience considered an asset
